That's Actually About You.

A portrait experience

(What a concept.)

1. The Consultation

Having a portrait made for the first time (or the thousandth) can be a little scary. Totally normal! That's why I always schedule an in-person consultation with every client.
"Consultation" is really just a fancy word for "getting to know you!"

I will travel to your home or favorite coffee shop for our meeting. We can even go through your closet or go shopping together!
Most importantly, I'll answer all your questions and get some ideas for how to design your session, since no two are alike.

So, where do we start?

Yes! Let's do this!

2. The Photoshoot

Back

One of my favorite photographers, Edward Steichen, said: "A portrait is not made in the camera, but on either side of it."
To me, that means I can only capture your portrait when you're relaxed and enjoying yourself.

We'll hang out in my cozy, private studio and listen to your favorite music.
Some portrait studios rush you, but I never do. I don't charge fees if our session runs long, and I only book one client each day, so you have my undivided attention.

(A.K.A. my favorite part)

3. The REVEAL

Back

Do you think Ashley Graham or Chrissy Tiegen or any other cover-worthy celebrity gets an email full of .jpg files when their photos are finished?
I really doubt it. And because all my clients get the star treatment, neither do you.

At our final appointment, you'll visit my studio one more time for a champagne (or seltzer) toast to loving yourself enough to make a forever memory.
This is also when you get to handpick your images! You'll receive prints and digital files.

Behind the lens

I'm Rebecca. I'm obsessed with taking pictures, and with making people feel amazing about themselves. But you knew that! Because you're here!

Here are a few quick, non-photography related facts about me:

I'm a dog person! My collie mix, Leena, is my permanent snuggle buddy.

I love to travel. Poland was my favorite country (pierogis!), but then in Rome, my favorite person asked me to marry him. Now Italy and Poland are tied :)

You'll usually find me drinking a double tall, no-whip, nonfat mocha latte and listening to a podcast. #SSGDM #basic

Let's chat! I challenge you to guess my favorite band or my favorite book.

With love,

Hello, new friend!

Pricing

At my studio, nobody spends a dime unless they're absolutely, head-over-heels in love with their images. That's why I do not require a deposit and there are no session fees.

As you probably read at the top of this page, I ask every client to commit to two meetings in addition to the photoshoot: a Consultation and a Reveal.

The Reveal is a champagne toast at my studio where I'll unveil your portraits. It's also when you decide which—if any—of your images you want to take home.

A typical client spends about $900 at the Reveal, but you can spend more, less, or nothing at all.

Bottom line: I'm so positive you'll love your images that I'm willing to work for you for free.

So here's the deal:

Hooray!

Your message was sent. I will respond super-soon.

Cheers,
Rebecca
